This is a true story.

I was at the supermarket paying for my purchases in the confectionery free aisle. A young man walked up, excused himself and asked, “Is it all right to pay for my chocolate bar at this register?”

He thought that he wasn't allowed to pay for chocolate in the confectionery/candy free aisle.

I explained that unless the operator was on a diet (jokingly) that the aisle was for the benefit of frazzled moms with children.

I'm afraid I had quite a laugh at his expense which he took in good humor.
